Ham and Mushroom Gnocchi

INGREDIENTS

-25g dried porcini mushrooms
- 1 onion, chopped (I use the pre chopped frozen stuff)
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped (I use the pre chopped Very Lazy stuff)
- 200g ham, chopped
- 400g button mushrooms, halved
- 150ml double cream
- 1 kg gnocchi

METHOD

  1. Put the porcini in a bowl and cover them with boiling water

  2. Fry off the onion and garlic for a couple of minutes

  3. Add the ham and the porcini with the water and simmer until most of the liquid has gone

  4. Whilst you’re simmering, put the gnocchi into a pan of boiling water

  5. Add the mushrooms to the ham pan and cook for about 5 minutes

  6. Stir in the cream

  7. Add the gnocchi to the sauce with a slotted spoon
